In addition, Urban Expansion is a leading developer of LEED certified projects in Over-the-Rhine. 

LEED stands for green building leadership. LEED is transforming the way we think about how buildings and communities are designed, constructed, maintained and operated across the globe.  LEED certified buildings save money and resources and have a positive impact on the health of occupants, while promoting renewable, clean energy.

Why? LEED homes are built to be healthy, providing clean indoor air and incorporating safe building materials to ensure a comfortable home. Using less energy and water means lower utility bills each month. The EPA estimates that indoor air is between two and ten times more polluted than outdoor air. LEED-certified homes are designed to maximize fresh air indoors and minimize exposure to airborne toxins and pollutants. And in many markets, certified green homes are now selling quicker and for more money than comparable non-green homes. 

In fact, in 2013, Urban Expansion rehabilitated and sold one of the first LEED Silver-certified single family homes in Over-the-Rhine. 1504 Race. 

In 2014, Urban Expansion fully rehabilitated a structure at 219 Wade Street, yet another LEED Silver-certified single family home in Over-the-Rhine.  This home went under contract after being on the market for just 19 days. See additional photos and information here.
